Betrayed In The ICU: The Wife's Awakening

About this story

Synopsis

When her five-year-old son, Leo, choked on a glass marble and turned blue, Chloe rushed him to the emergency room, fighting for his life. But her husband, wealthy heir Kurtis, ignored her frantic calls. While she waited outside the operating room in terror, she saw a live stream on Instagram. Kurtis was hosting a lavish birthday party for his mistress. What broke Chloe completely was seeing their nine-year-old daughter, Mia, clinging to the mistress and happily shouting. "Happy birthday, Mommy!" Later, when Kurtis finally arrived at the hospital, Mia confessed she had intentionally fed her little brother the marble to make him stop crying. Instead of being horrified by her viciousness, Kurtis gently patted his daughter's head. "It's okay, don't be scared. Just don't be so naughty next time." He then demanded Chloe get a VIP hospital room for his mistress's minor cold, completely ignoring his son lying in the ICU. Chloe stared at the man she had sacrificed her career for, feeling a soul-crushing chill. How could a father be so cold-blooded to his dying son, and how could the family she built be so rotten to the core? Her grief vanished, replaced by a resolve as sharp as ice. She calmly slipped an irrevocable waiver of marital assets into the mistress's hospital admission papers for Kurtis to blindly sign. Then, she recorded a video exposing his affair to the entire Jenkins family group chat. "I am filing for divorce, and I am taking my son." This time, she was going to make them pay.
