Chapter 3 of 67Forbidden Tales (A Collection Of Short Stories)
Available on official platform
Mia's POV:
The moment I saw him, my throat instantly went dry.
He was leaning against the door frame like he owned it, a dirty smirk on his face as his arms were folded across his bare chest. He was still shirtless. And his hair? Still messy—not from sleep, but from earlier. Clearly.
He stared at me with those dark eyes of his. Unreadable.
I don't think I'd ever been this close to Kade before. I'd seen him maybe from across a room, in the school hallways, on the ice while he played hockey—but never… never this close.
"K-Kade," I breathed, my heart pounding hard in my chest. "W-what are you—"
"Seems like you forgot something." He cut me off as he unfolded his hands and revealed a shard of the glass cup that broke earlier.
"Oh." I swallowed again. "That."
"Looks familiar, doesn't it?" He smirked, still holding firmly onto the shard as he waved it across my face.
"It's not… I can explain." I hurriedly and anxiously said. "I didn't mean to—"
"Relax, Mia." He let out a low laugh. "I'm not here to tell Lorena what you saw. Unless…" He dragged the word, nodding his head mischievously.
"Unless what?" I asked, my brows furrowing in confusion.
He didn't reply immediately. Instead, he stretched out his hand to grab mine and pulled me closer to him. We were so close that I could feel his breath on my skin. His eyes fixed on mine while I tried my hardest to maintain eye contact—but that was honestly a complete fail.
There was a moment of silence as his gaze stayed fixed on me until it moved to my hand. He turned it so my palm faced upward, placed the shard of glass in it, then spoke again.
"Unless you'd rather I did." He whispered with a dirty smirk still on his face.
My brows furrowed. "Unless I'd rather you did? Why would I—"
"I'm kidding, Mia," he laughed. "I'm not gonna tell her."
His laugh had hardly died down before he whispered into my ear again. "But I'm not going to pretend it didn't happen either."
And I swear, his voice was sending chills down my spine. I was trying to find the words to respond but I couldn't. It was as if I had suddenly gone dumb.
"You enjoyed it, didn't you?" He asked, seeing that I wasn't saying anything.
My brain short-circuited. Enjoyed it? How did he know I touched myself to him?
"I don't… I don't understand what you're talking about," I said, my voice sharper now, a little defensiveness creeping in.
"The show, Mia. Did you enjoy watching me fuck the shit out of Kayda?"
Oh. That's what he meant. Hell yes, of course I did. I only wished it was me he did those dirty things to. But obviously I didn't say that. Instead, I said—
"I wasn't watching anything, Kade." I lied, gripping the door handle so tight my knuckles nearly went white. "I only—"
"Bullshit." He cut me off, leaning even closer—close enough that his cologne hit me again. Dark. Woodsy. The same scent that had filled my nose while I touched myself in his bathroom.
Oh God.
"That glass didn't fall by accident, Mia. You were watching. For a long time."
My heart was beating so fast I could hear it loud in my ears. His dark voice was sending signals straight down to my pussy, warmth gathering between my thighs.
"And now, here you are," he continued, his voice dropping to a whisper. "Flushed. Breathing like you just ran a mile. And I have to wonder…"
His hand came up. Fingertips brushing my arm, and another whisper that sent fire straight to my core.
"Did you finish what you started?"
I couldn't speak. Couldn't breathe. Couldn't do anything but stare at his mouth and imagine it—
"Mia?" Lorena's voice cut through the haze like a slap. "Who's at the door?"
Panic flooded me. I was ready to shut it, ready to scream ‘no one’ but Kade's hand caught the door, stopping me from shutting it against him.
I stared at him, wide-eyed. His smirk was devastating.
"Kade, please—" I begged, trembling with anxiety, my gaze darting between the room and Kade, praying to God Lorena didn't see or hear any of this.
"I'm not done with you, Mia."
"Hello?!" Lorena's voice, closer now. "Mia!"
Kade straightened. Raised his voice like he hadn't just been up to some nasty and mischievous acts.
"Just your brother, Lo. Couldn't sleep so I thought to get some coffee."
The lie made no sense. Why in the world would he want coffee from Lorena's room? In no time, Lorena groaned from the bed, and I heard her begin to stand up. Oh fuck no.
I heard her footsteps get closer and closer until she was standing right behind me.
"Kade?" She asked in confusion, rubbing the sleep from her eyes with her fingers. "It's barely 6am, what the hell?"
"Couldn't find the sugar. Thought you kept some in here," he quickly added.
"It's in the damn kitchen, Kade." Lorena groaned. "Always has been. You're actually unbelievable. Can't believe you almost brought the door down for sugar."
"My bad then," he shrugged, laughing like someone had cracked a joke.
"C'mon Mia, don't let this idiot disturb our beauty sleep." She said, turning back to the room, muttering some words I couldn't hear. But Kade's gaze remained locked on me.
Just as I was finally closing the door on him, he held it again.
"I know you're not the type to just watch," he said with a mischievous smile. "So whenever you're ready to stop pretending you don't want it, you know exactly where to find me."
