His Barren Luna is a Pregnant Billionaire

About this story

Synopsis

For seven years, I was bonded to Jaden Sheppard, a powerful Exarch. To him, I was nothing but a "barren vessel," a worthless orphan from a conquered territory. The final blow came when he brazenly moved his courtesan, Concetta, into our home to replace me. She immediately ordered the destruction of my mother's lotus garden, erasing my last connection to my family. When my loyal maid tried to defend my honor over a stolen gift, Jaden blindly believed Concetta's lies. He forced my maid to kneel on the cold stone courtyard for the courtesan's amusement. I couldn't take it anymore. I slapped Concetta across the face. Jaden lunged at me, gripping my arm so hard I thought the bone would snap. "You are, at your core, a savage from a barbaric land! Your blood is crude and worthless!" Seven years of patient love and silent suffering meant absolutely nothing. In his eyes, I would always be a despicable, barren creature unworthy of his name. But as I looked at his disgusted face, my hand instinctively moved to shield my lower abdomen. My cycle was two months late, and the morning nausea had just begun. I tore my arm from his grasp in pure revulsion. He didn't know I had secretly amassed a fortune of my own over the years. I left the signed Severance papers on his desk, ready to take my unborn child and disappear from his life forever.
