His Forbidden Canary: Escaping The Contract

About this story

Synopsis

After her family went bankrupt and her father was imprisoned, Annabel had no choice but to sign a debt-repayment contract to survive. She never expected the buyer to be Julian Sharpe, her former fiancé. He didn't want her labor; he wanted her absolute degradation. He forced her into a ridiculous evening gown, parading the former heiress as his bought "canary." When she resisted his assault, he dragged her into a guest room and tied her ankle to the bedpost with a silk leash. "Remember, Annabel, from the moment you signed that contract, you have no dignity left." Julian sneered, treating her worse than a stray dog. Annabel trembled in the dark, her tears soaking the tangled fabric of her dress. She was the Beaumont princess he once swore to cherish. Why was he torturing her with such vicious, humiliating hatred? She thought her life was completely over, trapped in this beautiful cage with no way out. Until the bedroom door was violently kicked open. Landon Carlisle, Julian's terrifyingly powerful cousin and the true master of the estate, stepped through the frame. He lifted Julian by the throat, threw him aside like a piece of trash, and quietly knelt on the floor to untie her leash. "Let her go." Landon ordered, his cold gray eyes locking onto her terrified blue ones, and Annabel realized her fate had just taken a drastic, unpredictable turn.
