His Rejected Luna: The Lycan King's Vengeful Mate

Available on official platform

Audriana POV:

The seventy-second floor of the Sinclair Tower was an aerie of black granite, obsidian glass, and sweeping panoramic views of storm clouds gathering over Manhattan.

Across an immense dark desk stood Caden Sinclair. He had discarded his suit jacket, wearing a charcoal dress shirt with the sleeves cuffed to his forearms, exposing corded muscle and faint, silver-etched scars. In the daylight, he was breathtakingly lethal-predatory cheekbones, dark hair streaked with silver at the temples, and eyes the color of a frozen sea.

"Let us establish our perimeter," I began, opening a slim leather folder. "I am not entering a decorative marriage. I require an ironclad prenuptial agreement guaranteeing total financial separation. My assets, my corporate maneuvers, and my commissions under the Aura persona remain strictly my own."

Caden steepled his fingers, watching me with unblinking focus. "Go on."

"My father is filing for an emergency conservatorship. A formal binding with you supersedes Sullivan jurisdiction. In exchange, I offer strategic corporate restructuring for your subsidiary ventures, and exclusive artistic access to Aura." I leveled a hard stare. "Furthermore: separate bedrooms, separate schedules, and zero interference in my private life."

"A business merger," Caden murmured, the corner of his sculpted mouth curving slightly. He stood up, towering over the desk, his scent of crushed pine and winter ozone crashing over me like a tide. "My terms are simpler, Audriana. You bear my crest. You stand beside me when protocol demands it. You allow my security detail to establish your perimeter. And you do not run when the old dynasties come hunting."

"I don't run from wolves," I countered coldly. "I gut them."

A dark spark flared in his eyes. "Then we have a contract."

Forty minutes later, we descended into the high-security private vault of the Alliance Registry Hall. There were no public clerks this time. Instead, the Chief Registrar, an ancient Beta named Elmsworth, stood waiting with trembling hands.

Caden bypassed the digital terminals entirely. He reached into his coat and slid a matte-black titanium token across the counter. It bore only the raised insignia of a crowned dire wolf clutching a broken sword.

Elmsworth looked at the token, and the blood drained from his wrinkled face. He dropped into a deep, shaking bow. "Your... Your Grace. We were not informed-"

"Expedite the rites," Caden cut in, his voice vibrating with command that rattled the crystal wall sconces. "The Eternal Vow. Standard civilian parchment."

"Immediately, my Lord."

I watched closely, filing away the clerk's sheer terror. Your Grace. That was not the title of a standard pack Alpha. What ancient, bloody throne had I just tied myself to?

Elmsworth returned carrying two ancient sheepskin scrolls inscribed with glowing silver runes. This was no civil registry; it was the primordial covenant of the First Packs. Once signed, only physical death could undo it.

I took the offered quill. My hand hovered over the parchment. Ten years of loyalty to Gabe had brought me betrayal. Was I jumping into an even deeper abyss?

"Second thoughts, Ms. Sullivan?" Caden's low voice murmured near my ear, his cool breath brushing my cheek.

"Never," I said.

I signed with a sharp, decisive stroke: Audriana Sullivan. The ink flashed with gold, sinking into the parchment fibers.

Caden took the quill and slashed his signature beside mine: Caden Sinclair.

"Your right hands," Elmsworth whispered, his voice trembling.

We pressed our palms together over the silver seal. A violent jolt of white-hot current ripped through my veins. It wasn't the agonizing burn of Gabe's rejection; it was an intoxicating, bone-deep resonance, an electric fire that branded itself straight into my wolf's marrow.

A halo of silver light flared at our wrists, sinking beneath the skin to form an indelible mark-two wolves circling a crown, shimmering faintly before settling into the flesh.

Caden's long fingers tightened around my wrist, his thumb brushing over the fresh brand. His pupils dilated into abyssal blackness for a fraction of a second, his primal dominance washing over me, before he smoothly released his grip.

"The registry remains sealed," Caden commanded Elmsworth, who was frantically stamping the leather booklets. "No public records. If a single ledger leaks before the quarter ends, your family's registry license will be burned."

"Understood, Your Grace," Elmsworth gasped, bowing until his nose touched the wood.

As we stepped out into the biting wind on the stone steps, Caden paused, looking down at me.

"We keep our alliance quiet for now," he said. "My family's succession is contested. Throwing you into the council spotlight prematurely would bring wolves to your door before you've built your defenses."

"Suits me," I replied, slipping on my sunglasses. "I have no desire to play the doting socialite. I have work to do."

Meanwhile, three miles away in the sunlit drawing room of the Sullivan manor, Dagny sipped iced tea from a crystal tumbler, watching Hailee admire a ten-carat diamond on the terrace.

"Is the petition filed?" Dagny purred into her phone. "Excellent. Have the magistrate declare Audriana mentally incompetent by this evening. Her mother's trust defaults to Desmond-and then directly to Hailee."

She hung up, smiling with toxic satisfaction. She had no idea the prey they intended to slaughter had just walked into the den of an apex predator.
