In Between the Lines

About this story

Synopsis

Two enemies. One team. No escape. At Rosewood State, basketball is a religion. The fans are loud, the scouts are always watching, and the pressure to make the NBA is heavy. Xavier Reyes is the star point guard who looks like a machine on the court. He has the money, the talent, and the perfect cheerleader girlfriend, Sienna. He knows he is bisexual, but he has never acted on his attraction to men before until a locker room fight with his biggest rival changes everything. Kael Donovan is the explosive power forward who plays like his life is on the line because without his scholarship, it is. Kael is loud, aggressive, and fiercely proud of who he is. He has been out and proud since high school. He always assumed Xavier's hostility was just rich-kid arrogance and standard rivalry. He had no idea they would ever cross a line like this. To the public, they are a PR nightmare, two teammates who can't see eye-to-eye. But behind closed doors, a single post-game explosion has changed the rules of their rivalry. In a state where basketball is everything, Xavier and Kael are playing a dangerous game where losing means risking their futures, their positions on the team, and a secret they never saw coming.
