Chapter 3 of 54Marrying My Ex's Ruthless Billionaire Uncle
Available on official platform
Alastair's face contorted with a mix of embarrassment and fury. Pushed by Tiffany's screaming and his mother's outrage, he actually raised his hand, stepping aggressively toward Emaline.
"That's enough."
The deep, authoritative voice cut through the chaos like a frostbitten blade.
Everyone froze. Abdiel Sharpe stood up from the drawing room sofa, his towering frame casting a massive, suffocating shadow over the hallway. He wore a bespoke charcoal three-piece suit, looking every inch the ruthless, untouchable predator he was. The casual indifference he had shown in the hotel room was gone, replaced by a terrifying, absolute dominance.
Tiffany's eyes went wide with shock and instant, undeniable lust. She had never seen the legendary Abdiel Sharpe in person, and the sheer masculine power radiating from him made it difficult for her to breathe.
"Abdiel," Eleanora scrambled to explain, her voice trembling slightly. "This girl is Alastair's ex. She came here begging for money and started throwing vile insults at us. She has zero class."
Alastair lowered his hand, nodding nervously. "Uncle Abdiel, she was completely out of line. I was just-"
Abdiel walked slowly toward them, his heavy, measured footsteps echoing on the marble floor. He didn't spare his sister or his nephew a single glance. His glacial gaze was fixed entirely on Emaline.
"Her mouth might be lethal," Abdiel said, his voice a low, dangerous rumble that sent a shiver straight down Emaline's spine. "But you three ganging up to physically assault a woman in your own foyer? That makes you pathetic."
Alastair paled, the color draining from his face until he looked like a corpse. "Uncle, I wasn't actually going to hit her, I swear-"
"Apologize to her," Abdiel commanded, his tone leaving absolutely no room for negotiation.
Eleanora looked horrified, her mouth opening and closing like a stranded fish. "Apologize? To this bankrupt little tramp? Abdiel, you can't be serious! She insulted our family!"
"Do I look like I'm joking, Eleanora?" Abdiel's eyes darkened into twin pools of midnight, the temperature in the room plummeting by twenty degrees.
Alastair swallowed hard, terrified of his uncle's wrath. He knew Abdiel could crush his logistics company with a single phone call. He turned to Abdiel, bowing his head. "Uncle, I'm sorry, I lost my temper-"
"You don't apologize to me," Abdiel interrupted smoothly, adjusting his platinum cufflinks. "You apologize to her."
Alastair turned to Emaline, his jaw clenched tight. "Emaline... I apologize."
Emaline stood on the pristine marble steps of the grand Sterling estate, the crisp autumn wind whipping her dark hair across her face and biting viciously through her thin satin jacket. She looked Alastair dead in the eye, her voice remarkably steady despite the sheer magnitude of the betrayal that was currently shattering her chest.
"Let's get one thing straight right now, Alastair," she said, her tone a soft, dangerous velvet that masked the ice beneath. "We are done. As of this exact second, the engagement is completely off. From this moment forward, we have absolutely nothing to do with each other. And just to be perfectly clear-it is not you who is discarding me. I am the one walking away from you."
