MY RAY OF HOPE IN THIS WORLD OF CRIME

About this story

Synopsis

In a city where criminal organizations make their own laws, Elior Noah is one of the most feared men in the underworld. Powerful, intelligent, and ruthless, his name alone is enough to make even the boldest men tremble. To him, trust is a weakness, emotions are an obstacle, and human life has never meant much. But the final request of a man he considered one of the few people worthy of his respect is about to turn his entire world upside down. Before his death, Rick entrusts Elior with what seems like a simple mission: protect his younger sister, Anaël. A mission Elior accepts for only one reason: money. But Rick dies under mysterious circumstances before Elior can even truly begin his assignment. Anaël, who never knew her brother's true nature, suddenly finds herself face-to-face with the man she has always believed to be a monster. To Elior, she is nothing more than a responsibility he has agreed to take care of. Yet the more he tries to protect her, the more he discovers that Rick's death hides something far darker than he could have imagined. Secrets, lies, and enemies lurking in the shadows gradually begin to surface, putting both their lives in danger. And as Elior and Anaël clash, provoke one another, and constantly challenge each other's beliefs, an unexpected bond begins to form between them. Elior thought he had accepted nothing more than a simple assignment. He never imagined that protecting Anaël would force him to confront his own demons. And perhaps the woman he was hired to protect will ultimately become his only ray of hope in this world of crime.
