About this story

Synopsis

More than anything, Maria Fernanda wished she could forget the most embarrassing night she had ever endured. For years, she had secretly loved her best friend. Then she discovered in front of everyone that the proposal she had always wanted was intended for someone else. Heartbroken and angry, Maria decided to leave those feelings behind. She accepted an invitation to an exclusive nightclub and shared one passionate night with a stranger she never expected to meet again. That was how things were supposed to happen. Enzo was a powerful CEO who kept everyone at a distance. The morning after that night, he woke in a hospital and became convinced that someone had drugged him. He couldn't recall the nightclub woman's face, but unable to let the matter go, he searched for her everywhere. In Enzo's mind, the mysterious woman could be either a dangerous threat or a temptation he couldn't escape. One month later, Maria accepted a nanny position that offered an impossible amount of money. However, the child's father turned out to be the same stranger from the nightclub. Caught in an attraction neither could ignore, they would soon discover an unexpected truth. Some enemies didn't enter your life to destroy it. Sometimes, they turned everything upside down and somehow made it much better.
