Reborn To Love The Ruthless Billionaire

About this story

Synopsis

My adoptive family and the man I loved tied me to a chair in an abandoned warehouse. They wanted my multi-billion dollar trust fund. To get it, my adoptive parents, my sister, and my fiancé looked at me like garbage and pressed a button to drop a vat of sulfuric acid on my head. When the iron doors shattered, it wasn't the police who came to save me. It was Axel Stone, the ruthless billionaire I had hated and pushed away for years. He threw his massive body over mine, taking the boiling yellow acid to protect me. I watched his flesh melt and his muscles turn to stone, but he didn't make a single sound. Before his heart stopped beating against my chest, he pressed a detonator into my hand. "Live." But listening to my family scrambling away through the mud, I pressed the button, letting a wall of white fire incinerate us all. Until the moment the shockwave hit, I hated my own blindness. Why did I protect a sister who wanted me dead? Why did I love a coward who stole from me? And why did I treat the only man who would die for me like a monster? Opening my eyes again, the phantom smell of burning flesh vanished. I was back in the penthouse, two years ago, on the exact day Axel locked me up to keep me away from them.
