Rejected By My Mate, Claimed By The Ghost Alpha

About this story

Synopsis

My family was slaughtered, and my only path to finding the truth was my upcoming marriage to Chace Johnston, the future Alpha. But two weeks before the wedding, I walked into a formal meeting room to find an ambush. Chace sat there with my cousin Blake Case clinging to his arm, announcing he was going to mate with her instead. To add insult to injury, he generously offered me the role of his "subordinate mate." It was a public slap in the face. Chace's mother, the current Luna, coldly threatened the few vulnerable survivors of my pack if I dared to refuse. They expected me to break down, to beg, or to submit to this ultimate humiliation. I didn't scream or cry. I simply looked at my smug ex-fiancé and his new bride, and made my request. "I decline," I said calmly. "Instead, I request to complete the bonding ceremony with the pack's fallen hero, Edmund Johnston." Edmund was the true Alpha heir. By marrying a ghost, I can uncover the truth behind my family's deaths and rise above Chace and Blake. But what I didn't know was that my "dead" partner was actually still alive, hiding in dark places I couldn't see, watching my every move.
