Rejected By The Heir, Claimed By The Alpha

About this story

Synopsis

I stood alone on the altar, waiting to marry Caden Fields, the future Alpha of the Black Forest Pack. But the groom never arrived. Instead, a messenger rushed through the crowd with a careless, unsealed letter: Caden had eloped with a lowly Omega. The wedding guests erupted into a roar of shock and cruel laughter. Mocking whispers hit me from every direction. They sneered that a "wolfless" bride like me could never hold an Alpha heir. Even my own family looked at me with deep disgust, treating me like a failed business transaction, just damaged goods ready to be discarded. The heavy tide of humiliation threatened to pull me under. But why should I bear the crushing shame of his selfish betrayal? They all expected me to break down, to weep and run away like a pathetic joke. Instead, the despair vanished, replaced by a core of pure, sharp ice. I tore the delicate lace veil from my hair and threw my bouquet to the cold stone floor. Turning my back on the jeering crowd, I locked eyes with the most powerful man in the territory-Caden's father. "According to ancient pack laws, the wronged party can demand compensation from the offender's bloodline." I raised my hand and pointed directly at the reigning, untouchable Alpha. "I demand to complete this union today. And I choose you, Alpha Fenton Fields."
