About this story

Synopsis

When Lara lost both her parents at nineteen, her world collapsed overnight. She gave up her design scholarship, dropped out of school, and became the sole provider for her elderly grandmother and younger brother. After months of dead-end job interviews and sleepless nights, she finally lands a position as executive assistant to the CEO of Williams Group, one of the most powerful real estate empires in the world. To celebrate, her best friends Khloe and Maya drag her out for one unforgettable night. At a rooftop bar in Manhattan, Lara meets a stranger who calls himself Vincent. He is tall, green-eyed, and impossibly charming. One drink turns into five, one dance turns into a kiss, and by sunrise, Lara wakes up in a Miami penthouse with a splitting headache, a diamond ring on her finger, and a marriage certificate she cannot remember signing. She tells herself it was a drunken mistake. One quick annulment will fix everything. Then Monday arrives, and she walks into her new boss's office. He is standing right there. Vincent. Only his real name is Xander Vincent Williams. Billionaire CEO. Her husband. Her boss. The one man who could destroy the fresh start she fought so hard to earn. Some mistakes follow you to work on Monday morning.
