Chapter 3 of 53Sold to the Bratva Brothers
Available on official platform
Anya did not sleep.
She sat at the desk until dawn, watching the sky turn from black to gray. The estate was quiet, but not peaceful. Guards moved outside her door every hour. Footsteps. Low voices. The sound of a place that never truly rested.
At exactly seven, there was a knock.
"Enter," she said.
Nikolai walked in first. Dmitri followed. Alexei came last.
None of them looked tired.
"You learn fast," Nikolai said, noticing the untouched bed.
"I don't sleep in new cages," she replied.
Dmitri leaned against the wall. "Get used to it."
Alexei placed a thin folder on the desk. "Breakfast will be brought up. We work first."
Anya looked at the folder but didn't touch it. "You already have files on me."
"We verify assets," Nikolai said.
"Am I listed as property?"
Dmitri smirked. "You're listed as unpredictable."
She finally opened the folder.
Inside were printed bank transfers. Offshore accounts. Shell companies. Dates circled in red.
Her work.
"You moved thirty million through Cyprus in one night," Nikolai said. "Without triggering flags."
"Your father signed the transfer," Dmitri added.
"He signed what I put in front of him," she corrected.
Alexei watched her closely. "Why did you stay?"
She closed the folder slowly. "Stay where?"
"With him."
It was a simple question, but it lingered.
She stood up and walked to the balcony doors. Morning light filled the room.
"Because leaving would have been louder," she said. "And loud girls disappear."
Silence.
Dmitri's jaw tightened, but he said nothing.
Nikolai stepped closer to the desk. "You knew about the trafficking offer."
It was not a question.
Anya's fingers stilled on the glass.
"I suspected," she said.
"And you did nothing?" Dmitri asked.
She turned sharply. "What was I supposed to do? Call the police? My father funded them."
The room went quiet.
Alexei moved forward. "You could have run."
"And where?" she asked calmly. "Every passport I had was registered under his companies."
Nikolai looked at her with new understanding.
"You were already trapped," he said.
"Yes."
Dmitri pushed off the wall. "So now you switch cages."
"No," she said. "Now I switch sides."
Alexei's eyes sharpened. "Careful."
"I am being careful," she replied. "You think you rescued me. Maybe you did. But don't pretend this is kindness."
"It isn't," Alexei said.
The honesty hung between them.
Nikolai opened another folder from his coat and laid out photographs on the desk.
Men in suits. Government buildings. Private meetings.
"You recognize them," he said.
She walked back to the desk and studied the images.
"Yes."
"Names," Dmitri demanded.
"Minister Volodin," she said, tapping one photo. "Defense contracts. He launders through agricultural imports."
She tapped another.
"Judge Kirov. Offshore trust in Malta. His son runs the account."
The brothers exchanged a look.
Alexei spoke quietly. "You are not guessing."
"No."
"How deep does it go?" Nikolai asked.
"Higher than you think," she replied.
Dmitri crossed his arms. "Then why hasn't your father used this leverage?"
Anya's expression changed slightly.
"He planned to," she said. "He was waiting."
"For what?" Alexei asked.
"For the right buyer."
The words settled heavily.
Nikolai's voice lowered. "He was going to sell the evidence."
"Yes."
"To who?"
She looked at Alexei.
"Whoever would pay enough to keep him alive."
Silence filled the room again.
Dmitri's voice turned cold. "Including the same people he tried to sell you to."
She didn't answer.
That was enough to answer.
Alexei stepped closer to her. Not threatening. Direct.
"You understand what happens if this information leaks wrong."
"Yes."
"War," Dmitri said.
"Or collapse," Nikolai added.
Anya folded her arms. "You're already at war. You just don't see the battlefield."
Dmitri let out a sharp breath. "You talk like you belong here."
"I do," she replied. "I've been in this world longer than you think."
Alexei studied her face. "You're angry."
She met his eyes. "Of course I am."
"Not at us."
She hesitated.
Then, quietly, "No."
Nikolai closed the photo folder. "Then help us dismantle him."
Dmitri frowned. "Just like that?"
Anya looked at him.
"Do you think I'm loyal to a man who sold me twice?"
The words were calm, but they cut deep.
Alexei nodded once. "Fair."
She moved back to the desk and pulled the chair out.
"Bring me a laptop," she said. "Secure line. No tracking."
Dmitri raised a brow. "Already giving orders?"
"You want results," she replied. "Or do you want to debate my tone?"
Nikolai almost smiled.
Alexei turned toward the door. "You'll have what you need."
Dmitri stopped him. "And if she's playing us?"
Anya looked at Dmitri directly.
"If I were playing you," she said, "you'd already be exposed."
Silence.
Dmitri held her gaze, searching for a crack.
He found none.
When the brothers stepped outside the room, they did not go far. The door remained slightly open.
Inside, Anya exhaled slowly.
She sat down and stared at the blank desk.
For years she had moved money quietly. Cleaned trails. Protected her father's empire from collapse.
Now she was about to burn it.
A guard returned with a secure laptop.
She opened it and began typing.
Encrypted folders appeared one by one.
Hidden accounts.
Dead drops.
Blackmail archives.
Footsteps returned behind her.
Alexei stopped a few feet away. He watched the screen.
"How many secrets?" he asked quietly.
She didn't look up.
"Enough," she said.
Dmitri walked closer. "And you're giving them to us?"
"No," she corrected. "I'm trading them."
Nikolai's voice came from behind Alexei. "For authority."
"For survival," she replied.
Alexei's reflection appeared in the dark screen.
"And after survival?" he asked.
She finally looked up at him.
"After that," she said softly, "we see who still stands."
The room fell silent.
Outside, the gates of the estate remained closed.
Inside, alliances shifted.
The Volkov brothers thought they had married leverage.
Instead, they had just unlocked a weapon.
And none of them knew how far she was willing to go.
