Divorced And Pregnant: My Beautiful Escape

About this story

Synopsis

Amelia sat on the sofa with her pregnancy report, waiting to share the miraculous news with her husband. But Hunter returned smelling of floral perfume and crimson lipstick, coldly demanding an early end to their marriage contract. "Audra's back in New York," he stated flatly. When Amelia desperately held up the hospital document, Hunter laughed, violently tearing it to pieces and throwing the crumpled ball at her face. He accused her of forging the papers for a bigger payout, warning her that even if the child were his, he would force her to abort it. Minutes later, his phone rang. Audra was on the line, crying that she was pregnant. Hunter's merciless face instantly melted into overwhelming joy, and he softly promised his ex the perfect family she deserved. Watching him cherish another woman's pregnancy while threatening the life of their own child, the twelve years Amelia had loved him turned into a sickening joke. The man standing before her wasn't her husband; he was a monster. Her heart completely dead, Amelia calmly interrupted his tender phone call. "I agree to the divorce, and I'll leave with nothing." The next morning, she signed the papers without hesitation, rejected his fifty-million-dollar severance check, and walked out of his penthouse. While Hunter waged war against his own family to protect a mistress's lies, Amelia touched her flat stomach and prepared to disappear from his life forever.
