Divorcing The Biker: Her Spectacular Comeback

Available on official platform

Alaina's POV:

I'm trapped in the silence, a fly in amber. Every sound is magnified—the clink of a glass, a nervous cough, the frantic beating of my own heart against my ribs.

Brown raises his head. His voice, when it comes, is steady and clear, amplified by the microphone someone hands him. "Brothers. Friends. I come before you tonight victorious, but also humbled."

He doesn't look at me. His gaze is fixed on the crowd, playing the part of the noble warrior. He speaks of the turf war, the victory for the club, securing new territory. The members cheer, but it's muted, uncertain. They know this isn't the real show.

"But a victory on the road means nothing without peace at home," he continues, his voice taking on a somber tone. Here it comes. The blade I've been expecting.

"For the stability of my family, and for the honor of this club, I must make a difficult request."

He finally turns his eyes toward me, but they are cold, devoid of the love I once foolishly thought I saw there.

"I formally request the club's blessing... to set Alaina aside."

The words hang in the air, sharp and glittering as shattered glass. A collective gasp ripples through the room. It's one thing to cheat, to have a Sweetbutt on the side. It's another to publicly cast off your Old Lady. It's a profound insult to the institution, to the very idea of family this club pretends to uphold.

My world narrows to his face, the cruel set of his mouth. In that moment, something inside me breaks. But it doesn't leave me weak. It leaves me cold. It leaves me clear.

He isn't finished. "And... to take Kaley Sims as my new Old Lady."

He turns and extends a hand towards the edge of the crowd. A woman emerges from the shadows, guided by one of Brown's loyalists. She's young, with long dark hair and big, sorrowful eyes that sweep across the room. She looks fragile, lost.

She places her hand in Brown's, and he pulls her to his side. A united front. The usurper and the new queen.

The appearance of Kaley Sims shocked everyone, because she was not an ordinary woman, but the daughter of the president of the Scythes MC.

The room erupts in angry murmurs. This is a violation of every code of honor the club purports to uphold.

"Silence!" Mr. Pennington Sr.'s voice cracks like a whip. He doesn't look angry, just weary. This was all pre-approved. This whole disgusting spectacle was planned.

Before anyone else can speak, Miles Hayes slams his heavy glass mug on the table. It shatters.

"Have you lost your damn mind, boy?" Miles roars, his face purple with rage. "You don't trade in an Old Lady like a used bike! She has our respect! She has earned her place!"

Several other veteran members nod in agreement, their faces grim. Brown has miscalculated the sentiment of the room.

He falters, his confident facade cracking. He glances at his mother for support.

Mrs. Pennington gives him a sharp, almost imperceptible nod. He takes a breath and plays his trump card.

"Miles, I respect you," Brown says, his voice now laced with false sincerity. "But this is not what it seems. This is... an arrangement. All of this was done for the sake of peace and stability within our club, so I was forced to sacrifice my own marriage."

He turns to the crowd, his face a mask of sorrowful duty. "And Alaina... she has graciously agreed to this. She understands the situation and has agreed to step down."

The lie is so audacious, so complete, that for a second, I can't breathe. It feels like a physical blow, stealing the air from my lungs.

He is painting me as either a willing participant in my own humiliation or a liar who will now be forced to confirm his story.

The murmuring stops. Every single person in the clubhouse—the brothers who once called me sister, the Sweetbutts who envied me, my monstrous mother-in-law—turns to look at me.

Brown holds my gaze, a silent plea and a threat in his eyes. Play along.

Mrs. Pennington's smile is a predatory slash in her face. She believes she has won.

Kaley Sims looks at me from under her lashes, a flicker of something that isn't sorrow in her eyes. It's victory.

The silence stretches, thick and suffocating. They are all waiting for me to break, to nod, to accept my demotion with grace. They are waiting for me to die quietly.
