Rising From Shadows: The Swapped Heiress Returns

About this story

Synopsis

Twenty-five years ago, two baby girls were born six minutes apart in a Chicago hospital. One was carried home by the most powerful family in America. The other was hidden from the cameras by an Oscar-winning actress who swore her daughter would never live in the spotlight. Beatrice Faulkner never knew who she really was. She clawed her way through Columbia Law at the top of her class, funded by scholarships and pure grit, and she's now killing herself to make partner at one of Manhattan's most cutthroat firms. She never needed the Beaumont name. Then the heir to a global dynasty shows up at her grandmother's door with a DNA kit and a story too impossible to believe: a ski accident in St. Moritz, a blood type that should not exist, and two families' daughters switched at birth. The test comes back 99.9999% certain. Beatrice is a Beaumont. And the spoiled heiress who once cornered her in a Manhattan café and sneered, "Name your price and disappear"... has been living Beatrice's life for twenty-five years. Now the billionaire patriarch who never knew she existed stands before her: "I am your father." His wife wants to give her the world. And the girl who humiliated the "nobody" is watching everything she thought was hers begin to slip away. Some people spend their whole lives chasing a fortune. Beatrice just had hers handed back.
